2001-08-02 - 10:01 p.m.� There were absolutely no disasters at work today! Everything went according to plan. It was wonderful, but I still felt somewhat stressed because I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak. It did not drop, and I'm just crossing my fingers that everything continues like the tomorrow. I sort of have the feeling though, that this being the Friday before a long weekend, and me still without anyone at work to help me, not only is the other shoe going to drop, it's going to drop right smack on my head. Hopefully not. It is still hotter than hell here. I feel disgusting. Heat and humidity makes me miserable. It apparantly puts my cat in a similar mood. She has spent most of the day stretched out on her back, and every now and again she lets out a sad or angry little meow, just to inform us that she is not happy. I feel bad for her. She doesn't understand why she is feeling hot and uncomfortable. I hope she doesn't think we aren't making this go away because we don't love her... my poor Mitty kitty, if I could make the heat go away, I would. I guess that's about all from me today. I'm heading off to the shower now to hose myself down, and then I think I will go to bed. In this heat I don't really have the energy to do much else.
