2001-05-08 - 7:40 p.m.� I signed the contract today. That'd be the contract extension promised to me. They're keeping me on until December 31st, which is two months longer than they had originally suggested to me. So, in other words, today was a good day. I know where I'll be working for the next eight months. I'm spared from crappy temp jobs, and gut-wrenching dry spells for a little while longer. Of course, I'm also free from the really cool temp jobs and the freedom that being a temp provides. But I think the trade off is worth it. Today has just generally been a good day. I won a $30.00 First Aid kit. Today is an international recognition day for the non-profit organization I work for, and the guy in charge of international operations decided to have a trivia contest in honour of the day. I didn't know the answer, but I knew where to find it faster than anyone else. It was in a training manual that I updated and typed up up when I was working here last fall. I guess the grunt jobs pay off sometimes. Gotta go now, it's almost time for Buffy.
