2002-03-11 - 5:59 p.m.� 13 people, possibly more, from my office lost their jobs today. We got notice that due to head office downsizing, their department will now be covered by staff at another office. They've got maybe 2 months. My department was not part of this downsizing. I have my job, as do my immediate co-workers, except for one, who may have to quit because the two people she commutes with will, are being laid off, leaving her without transportation into the city. The rest of us will just be left behind wondering when the axe will come down on us. I wish I could afford some alcohol. Although, I probably don't really need it-- I'm feeling pretty numb right now as it is.
