2002-04-09 - 7:58 p.m.� Is it only Tuesday? Because really, it feels like it should be at least Thursday, or preferrably Friday. Work weeks go by much slower when I'm sick and my supervisor/co-worker is away. I'm exhausted, and still feeling pretty crappy, but surprisingly enough I'm in a decent mood today. Work was okay today, except for all the coughing fits whenever I talked for any length of time. The big problem being that my job requires me to be on the phone talking for most of the day. I started coughing in the middle of a conversation with one old lady, and she kept talking right through my hacking! Finally, she stopped and said, "I'll wait until you're done so you can hear me." Then, after about 5 seconds, she gives up on that and continues talking. What was so earth-shattering? Well! She had to inform me exactly why she doesn't want me to send her any more Sweet and Sour Chicken for her Meals on Wheels (it gives her terrible gas, you know, just terrible, and she has enough problems in her life without terrible gas!). The first opening I got, I choked out, "Okay, I've got it, bye now." She probably thought I was incredibly rude for hanging up so abruptly. That was the most memorable thing about my day, which is good, considering how work has been lately. Tomorrow is the big reprimand meeting with the psycho volunteer. I don't have to go, thankfully. In fact, I won't even be in the office when the meeting takes place. It's going on at 8:00 am, and I don't start until 8:30. I'm hoping it will be over and psycho will have left by the time I get in. I'm hoping to avoid involvement until I know that buddy has settled down considerably. On a lighter note, according to Katie's diary entry today, my porn name could be Bubbles Britten. I like that, it sounds like a real porn name.
