2002-08-06 - 9:50 p.m.� Only 3 more work days until my vacation! I was extremely glad to see the return of my vacationing coworker today. My job was still really busy, but at least I didn't have to worry about her job on top of it. But, no matter how busy today was, or how busy the rest of the week gets, I have the happy thought of "Only 3 more work days until my vacation!" Today was a good day. A friend of mine from University had a meeting just outside the city today, so she drove up here after work. It was fabulous to see here. I haven't seen her since around Christmas. She's getting married in a couple of weeks. I guess this was the last time I'll see her as a single woman. We had a nice evening. Went out for dinner, and then to a movie, and the whole experience was very deja vu. I think it was the summer between my second and third year at MacMaster, the two of us, anti-social geeks that we were, went to out to the movies after work almost at least once or twice a week. We saw everything. This evening we saw K-19. I thought it was a good movie, although I didn't find it terribly entertaining. The combination of submarine and radiation leak made me very claustrophic. I was getting twitchy for the exits by the time the 2 hours were up. As soon as I said goodbye to my friend, I got online and connected to Muppet radio. If there is anything happier or more calming, I've yet to find it. Did I mention that there are only 3 more days until I'm on vacation? Just checking.
