2000-09-15 - 9:03 am� Well I just got off the phone with my temp agency. They basically told me that it's up to me to stay or take a new assignment if the current assignment offers me a new position (different from the one I accepted). I don't think I like that. I wanted Manpower to tell me, well hell Heather, if they don't know what they are doing, we've got new work for you! Screw 'em! I don't know what I am going to do. The big angry part of me that is pissed off at them for treating my employment with them so carelessly ("Take tomorrow off. We'll call you if there is anything else for you to do next week."). That part of me is looking for reasons and excuses to turn down any new positions they might offer me. There is another, much smaller, part of me that wonders if I'll regret it if I don't go back. I didn't even get to say goodbye to the volunteers I've been talking to alot over the past few weeks. I know I would like the opportunity to do that. Of course, all of this is null and void if they don't have a position to offer me. I've just been going on the assumption that they will find me something else to do to keep me around until the regular scheduling clerk goes back on sick leave in a couple weeks. If they don't have a new temp position to offer me, my decision will me easy. I will get Manpower to place me somewhere new. I won't sit around for two weeks while I wait for the scheduling clerk to go on leave again. I hate this. I hate being put in this position.
