2001-10-04 - 8:47 p.m.� I made soup for dinner tonight! I made it all by myself, and it didn't come from a can (okay, the broth did, but that's it). It was really good too. Spicy Chicken soup. I boiled the broth with some hot pepper paste, garlic, and ginger, then added really thinly sliced chicken, carrots. Then, after they had cooked through, I added some green onions, chopped tomato, fresh basil and some lime juice. It was amazing soup. And I felt so proud of myself for not fucking it all up. Cooking isn't exactly my forte, but I bought some really nifty cookbooks that have interesting and easy recipes. I was doubtful that the recipes could be easy enough for me, but so far, so good. Okay, so I'm sure no one cares about adventures in cooking, so I think I'll stop my entry right about now. Otherwise I'll just go on and on about my soup.
