2003-03-23 - 10:45 p.m.� I got a haircut on Friday. A totally new cut; I left my pictures of Agent Scully's hair at home this time, and I'm glad I did. I'm really pleased with how it looks. It's shorter than I've had it in a long time, probably shorter than I've ever had it. I needed a change. Yesterday my friend and I went swimming. Outdoors. The pool was very heated, and the hot tub was heaven, even if the mad dash between them was a little um, freezing. It felt so good to be outside, breathing in the fresh air, without having to bundle up in boots and mittens and big ugly coats. After swimming I went shopping. I bought a new outfit, and some new sandals. It's still a little cold to wear them, but buying them made me feel good, like it's already spring. I searched through my closet today, and took inventory of my spring and summer clothing. I put on my new sandals to go down and check for the mail. Spring feels like a new start. It feels like there are endless possibilities ahead. Maybe that's why I feel like I'm rushing into the change of season.
