2002-01-01 - 8:51 p.m.� So, 2002, and yet there are still no flying cars or hotels on the moon. I must say, I'm a little disappointed. I rang in the new year quietly, and with much drink. I stayed home in my pjs (what else is new), watched a couple dvds with my mother, enjoyed pizza, beer and vodka coolers. I spent today, the first day of the new year, in my pjs, trying to convince myself that I was not hungover. I watched a good chunk of the Naked Chef marathon on the Food Network, because hey, yummy (both food and chef, thank you very much). Then I had a nap. Then I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner, while still in my pjs, trying to convince myself that I was not a sad, pathetic human being. Nah, it wasn't as bad as I'm making it out to be. It was a nice way to spend my day and a half off. Especially considering that I am still fighting off this damned cold, which thankfully seems to be getting a bit better today. So, Happy New Year to me, and Happy New Year to the rest of the world too.
