2002-05-07 - 7:12 p.m.� I'm listening to disc 3 of the Booker T and the MGs box set that my brother got me for Christmas, and "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" is on right now. I had totally forgotten that this track existed, and hearing it now is like very cool surprise. I love that song, and the MGs cover of it was beautiful. I've been in the mood for soul and blues music quite a bit lately. People keep giving me suggestions of artists from the pop/rock/alternative genre that I should download, but I'm just not in the mood at the moment. I've been downloading a steady stream of Big Joe Turner since the weekend. I went looking through my cds, and realized that the really cool Big Jow Turner compilation I used to have is no longer in my possession. I'm sure I could replace it pretty easily at the music store downtown, but I just can't justify spending the money on it right now, when I still have a week to go before I get paid again, and I could really use a haircut, and we are running out of frivolous things like vegetables and orange juice. I really hate having no money. It weighs very heavily on my mind, and it makes me very boring, because I talk about it way too much. It's a good thing that tonight is Buffy and Angel night. They'll give me something else to think about at least.
