2003-02-22 - 5:06 p.m.� Remember a couple entries ago when I mentioned that my mother had one hell of a flu bug? Turns out she didn�t. It was appendicitis. She had an emergency appendectomy last night. I went from work to the hospital, and stayed there until 11:00 last night, with just a brief stop off home to pick up some of my mom�s things, and then to pick up my brother from his work. She�s fine. At least as fine as one could be expected after surgery. I am dazed, tired, and that stress headache from earlier in the week has returned with a vengeance. It was only 3 weeks ago since she was admitted with asthma problems. Would it be too much to ask for some fucking calm in our lives? Could we possibly get through a month without having Mom in the hospital?
