2005-06-23 - 7:01 p.m.� I got tickets to Canada's Live 8 concert! There were at least 20 people in my office trying for it, and out of all of us, only myself and one other girl got tickets. And several of my friends tried as well, but I don't know anyone else who got through. I got through really easily-- it took me a few minutes to really believe that I had then. I'm so excited! It was a miracle that I got anything done today, because I've been as hyper as a sugar hyped toddler with ADD ever since I got the tickets. Actually, I was pretty hyper beforehand too. I'm going with my brother. Everyone keeps asking me who I'm taking, and then goes "Awww, that's nice..." when I say that I'm taking him. But really, there's no one else I would think of to take before him. We often go to concerts together-- pretty much every big concert I've gone to has been with him. If he'd been able to get a ticket of his own, then it would have been hard trying to figure out who else to bring. It's a shame that the lineup isn't more... international. But The Tragically Hip are going to be there, and they're pretty much my favorite band, so I'm not about to complain. And there are other artists on the bill that I really enjoy too, so it should be good. Besides, it's really cool just to go to something like this! I wish I didn't have to wait until Saturday to pick up my tickets. Maybe I'll stop being so hyper when I am actually holding the tickets. Or maybe I'll just be more hyper.
