2001-07-02 - 9:17 p.m.� I'm ba-ack. I had a pretty good time on my mini-vacation this weekend, although we did have some mishaps and crankiness along the way. We got lost oh, half a dozen times over the weekend, and drove much longer than we had to. Everything was really expensive-- the motels were especially overpriced, but I suppose that is par for the course when you are spending a long weekend in a tourist trap. And I got a major disappointment when I arrived at the Walden Galleria to find that The Warner Bros store was no more. I was so looking forward to the store, and I was so overtired, that I nearly cried when I looked at the empty storefront. But disappointments, getting lost, and overpriced crappy motels aside, both my friend and I did have a pretty good weekend. And though we were pretty cranky a lot of the time, I have a feeling it is going to be one of those sort of things that we will always look back at laugh at. Especially seeing as we were laughing about pissy aspects of the weekend just a few hours after they had passed. I didn't buy as much as I had planned to buy, partly because of the prices, and partly because I couldn't find alot of what I wanted. But I did bring home the most comfortable slippers I've ever owned and a fine selection of American candy, so I'm fairly happy with my purchases. I will post a full account of the weekend sometime this week when I get my photos developed.
