2000-11-20 - 9:34pm� My new mantra is "Maybe there will be a snowstorm tomorrow." That's the only really good thing about winter. The whole "snow is so pretty!" thing never lasts. Snow is not pretty when you are trudging through it. Snow is not pretty when it gets inside your boots. Snow is not pretty after it's turned brown and slushy from dirt, exhaust, sand and salt. And let me just say two more words on the subject: yellow snow. No, there is only one small thing about snow that is pretty. It's that small hope that maybe, just maybe it will snow so much that everyone gets a day off, no strings attached. I can always use one of those days. It's snowing pretty hard right now. I hear that Buffalo is really getting dumped on right now. With any luck it will have worked its way up here by morning.
