2000-10-22 - 9:03 pm� I really wish that my weekend wasn't almost over. I know that isn't a particularly original sentiment... I'm sure I've said something similar in 80% of my Sunday night entries since I've been working. It just doesn't seem right though that we have to work 5 days and then only get 2 days off. If only it could be a little more even... 4 days of work, 3 days off. Although I suppose that then I would be complaining about only having 3 days off. My weekend has been gloriously uneventful. I watched videos, I made 3 new candle holders, I played an online scrabble-like game with Katie, and I did some idle web surfing... You know, the online marketplace is a strange and wonderful place. There's just a whole lot of crazy crap out there. Like this. Why, why, why would anyone need their very own wooden stake? There's no reason other than obsessive nerdiness. I think I kind of want one. I would keep it in my purse, you know, for self defense. I wouldn't ever stake anyone of course, but it could still come in really handy. Say a potential attacker comes up to me on a darkened street. I'd whip out my trusty stake and yell, "Back, creature of the night!" Chances are the potential attacker would be taken aback long enough for me to kick them in the groin and run away. And they would probably think I was insane, and decide not to bother with me. Tomorrow I'm going out for dinner with one of my friends. Yay for me! That's the only thing I'm looking forward to about tomorrow.
