2000-10-04 - 8:38 pm� I'm always surprised and a little concerned when I realize what a good liar I am. Very few people admit to being good liars. It makes sense, I guess. If someone told me that they lie really well, I would have trouble knowing when to believe them. I hope nobody reading this diary starts to question the truth in my entries now... although most of the stuff in here is far too pathetic to be made up. Today I lied repeatedly about why I stayed home from work yesterday. But I had to! I couldn't tell them the truth-- "Yeah, I was feeling a little off, and I really didn't want to come in, so I figured, what the hay? I'll call in sick." So everytime anyone asked me how I was feeling, I told them that I was feeling quite a bit better, still not 100%, but at least I was not sick to my stomach anymore like I was yesterday. Worked like a charm. I feel sort of like an evil genius now. :) I went shopping after work today. Two words: Shoe Sale. Sigh (that was a happy sigh). I bought 2 pairs of shoes for the price of one. Yay! One is a pair of high heeled black mary janes, and the other pair are really snazzy brown loafers-- very professional looking. Yes, it was a good shopping trip, especially considering that the shoes are not even the best thing I bought today. I got Great Big Sea's new live album, which I am immensely enjoying right as I type this. I'm singing along, and very badly at that. I can't help it though-- GBS's songs demand that I sing along.
