2003-12-31 - 7:27 a.m.� So it's New Year's Eve. Whoop-de-doo. I've never really been a fan of New Year's Eve. All the hype, all the build up to discover that when the clock passes midnight all you have is another day just like any other. I have to work all day today. I'll be one of probably about 6 that will be working today. At least it should be quiet. I really hope it's quiet. Then, after work, my big New Year's Eve plans are to sit on the couch with my mom, brother, a big bowl of chips and a bottle of white rum and watch some movies until I fall asleep. Neither my mom or my brother have plans either so at least I won't be wallowing alone. This time of year is all about the wallowing for me. End of holidays. Such a long time before there are any more. But at least I still have a week of vacation left to use before April. I was going to wait until February, but methinks I'll want them sooner rather than later. It doesn't look like I'm going to hear back from that job I applied for. They said that they would contact everyone they wanted for an interview by the end of business hours today. So unless they call today, I'm SOL again. Ah, the earler morning entry. So cheerful, so optimistic!
