Marla agrees with me, so it must be true: This really IS the longest week ever.

I don't know. I'm in a funk right at the moment. Work has been slow and frustrating. It's frustrating because it's slow, and I know that next week is going to be crazy busy, but there is very little I can do right now to off set it. And it's frustrating because we are currently in the midst of planning a Christmas party-- whoops, I mean, a non-denominational holiday season get-together-- for our volunteers, and we keep getting shot down at every turn. In case anyone is wondering, it's very hard to put on a party for 100 people when you have no money. It's even harder when the point of the party is to show our appreciation for the volunteers, and maybe give something back to them for all they do for us.

And I'm stressing about Christmas shopping. I went out again today looking to buy presents and came up empty handed. I even know what I want to buy everyone but I just can't get seem to find them. I went to Future Shop, and the fuckers were sold out of everything I wanted to get.

And I'm stressing about the craft show on Saturday. I almost wish I hadn't agreed to take part in it. It's all day Saturday and I don't think many people are going to come, and it feels like it's more trouble than it's worth.

On top of that, I'm having one of those annoying little times where I think I'm getting dumber. I just read a book that I would have eaten up in University, but now I found it a struggle to keep myself interested. I used to be well versed in the ideas and ideologies the book dealt with, but they feel foreign to me now. I'm dumbening.

This is the first time since I graduated university that I feel like maybe I'd like to go back.

Except, I really don't want to go back to that.

Like I said, I don't know. I'm in a funk.

And I just saw "Punch Drunk Love." It made me cry.

I think I want to run away. Just for a little while.
