2002-04-20 - 8:33 p.m.� I bought a desk today! Join me in a happy dance over the purchase of my new desk. (Slight pause for Heather's happy dance) Where was I? Oh yes. The new desk. I paid exactly what I was hoping to pay for a new desk, and I got more with it than I was hoping for. It's a whole workstation, with the main desk/hutch, plus a rolling bookshelf, and a roll out filing drawer and printer stand. It's spiffy, and it will be delivered to me on Wednesday. Really, I cannot over stress what a happy thing this is for me. No more typing in an oddly scrunched up position on my bed! I'll have room to break out my photo scanner again. And I'll have a place in my room for my stereo. Oh yes, Heather is a happy camper. I had a pretty good week. I'm sure the lovely weather helped. I got to wear sandals again! I don't know. I've just been made happy by all sorts of things over the last few days. I got a package in the mail from Marla, that included a big Mr. Munchy Easter bunny! Anyone who sends me chocolate in the mail rocks. Of course, as everyone should know, Marla rocks whether she is sending me chocolate and books or not. Emailing with Marla and another of my friends at work this week made me happy to be at work. I also got a very nice email from a man in the Netherlands this week, that made me happy too. Plus, I was thrilled to see a Coen brothers commentary track on the dvd for The Man Who Wasn't There. And then getting the desk today just sort capped off the week on a good note. And next week I'm going to visit Sarah and Craig, and we're going to a Sarah Slean concert! So I've even got stuff to look forward to next week too. I'm in such a good mood that I'm disgusting even myself.
