2005-05-31 - 6:10 p.m.� On Friday I turn 29. Yeesh. "29" feels old to me. And before anyone tells me off for whining, I don't mean to say that 29 makes me feel over the hill, or like some hopeless spinster, or anything like that. But 29 is undeniably a grown up age. 29 is an adult, no doubt about it. In another year I'll be 30, and wondering where my 20s have gone. When did it happen that birthdays stopped being all about the cake and presents, and started to be about all the questions about life? Not that I'm not excited about the presents, because I am excited. Very excited. I love presents! And cake. Mmm... cake. And I am really excited about my birthday plans, which include road tripping to Hamilton with Julie and Sarah ! There will be swimming, eating yummy Middle Eastern food and roast beef sandwiches, drinking, and shopping. So, in conclusion, birthday = good but 29 = whoa! when did I get so old?
