Today

Today:

1) I discovered a mouse in my office. I was recycling an empty pop can and when I threw the can in the bin, I saw a little brown mouse hiding inside. We fed it and released it into the wild (by which I mean the grassy area beside the parking lot). And now I am trying very hard to believe that it was a random mouse who wandering into our office. Alone. A random, loner mouse who was ostracized from the mouse community, who haplessly wandered into our offices, alone, without any little mousey mates who intending on starting a nest and spawning other mice. Delusional? Me? What's your point?

2) I learned that last night one of my clients answered the door to his meal volunteer wearing nothing but a cooking apron. Am now left with disturbing mental image of wrinky old man bum.

3) I accompanied my mother to the specialist who was supposed to tell her why she has so much muscle pain. He had no answers for her! She has mild arthritis in her feet, but as for the rest of her, it's a mystery! They are slowly ruling things out, and while learning what she doesn't have is somewhat of a relief, it doesn't really do much to solve her pain.

4) While reading through pamphlets in the rheumatologists office, seeing if we diagnose her condition without a fancy-schmancy medical degree, I diagnosed myself with "Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome." It's like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, but it concerns ankle/foot. I have all the symptoms associated with it, and the pamphlet said that in over 50% of the cases, the cause is associated with recurrent ankle injuries. And yes, I do realise that deciding that I have medical conditions without being formally diagnosed could be a sign that I am turning into a crazy person. Or my mother. Not that "crazy person" and "my mother" are two completely separate...

5) I am officially going through "Homicide: Life on the Street" withdrawal. I finished watching my season 6 dvds on Saturday, and damn it, I want more!
